Just a note to you and to me

Welcome to 2014! I hope that you decide not to let life get in the way of you living. This is something I am still working on. We can't stay in the same place and expect to move. Another we can't do is expect people to do everything for us and with us. There are a few things you are going to have to encounter without your "hype men". Truth be told all they do is make a bunch of noise and repeat everything you say really loud and in your ear and if you are like me that is really annoying. I don't like a bunch of noise.. it is a distraction. (Catch it)

I pray Ephesians 1:18 over all of us this year. Read that scripture when you get a minute. It will bless your life.

This is more of a note to you rather than my normal blogs. I am going to be doing different things this year and I hope you do something different as well.

Take me as I am and also for where I am going. Just because it feels comfortable doesn't mean it looks good on you.

To 2014: Live it, Love it, and Learn From It.

When You Don't Understand

2018 was full of loss. Some of us lost loved ones, we lost our hope, our drive, our passion. It seemed like every single time we took steps to make progress life came and knocked the hell out of us. And it made me angry. I didn't understand why it seems like things kept going left when we were doing right. Why did people go ghost in the midst of a heartbreaking year? I let my anger affect the things that I was doing and I honestly didn't care anymore. Why should I extend myself when no one else was willing to do the same. I still served, I was there for others, I went to work, and I was angry. Truth be told I am still processing my anger. It didn't seem fair. It still doesn't seem fair. I don't need to be told anything deep or profound. I just need an understanding. I know that there are five stages of grief. I know that I can talk to God about anything. Are you bearing fruit?

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in My name." -John 15:16(NIV) Chosen to bear fruit. A reason your prayers may not be answered is because you are not bearing fruit. Are you sharing Jesus with others besides the ones who are in your circle? When was the last time you told a complete stranger something that could change their life? Like Jesus loves them, have a blessed day or week, etc. Do they see your light or do they see your dilemmas?  Things to consider. Stop avoiding strangers and start bearing fruit.
