Not Motivated But Want It All: What Do You DO?!

We look on the television and we see these reality shows and are like really? C'mon son. (That is me anyway.) That is making money. To the eyes it seems that foolish behavior is being rewarded and mimicked on a daily basis. It makes those who are struggling and starving wonder if it is worth the effort. Many times it gets hard. Especially when you are in the middle. Probably because we know the beginning and we expect a great end. We get no warning about the middle. When this happens you want to do the complete opposite of that your assignment is. It is in these moments that you must push past tired and more importantly push past yourself to get the goals set before you accomplished. Even in Romans 7 Paul states that every time he wants to do good that he does the opposite. At some point you must realize that there is a war going on. The battles get hard but you have to be determined to always win. Scripture References are Ecclesiates 7:8 and Romans 7

Dangerously Distracted?

Based off of Galatians 5:7-10 We are often on fire for the Lord and we desire to do His will, we have a new praise in our spirit and yeah we know how we do. All of a sudden we stop short. Is it because of family, friends, situations, and circumstances? Am I my own stumbling block? These are things we have to look at when we find ourselves to be what I like to call dangerously distracted. Look at what you used to do and what you are doing now. Can you see the difference in your actions, demeanor, and behavior? When you are truly focused stuff may come and you still have joy. Then we actually look at the situation. Big mistake. Yes it is a reality for you and I'm not knocking that. Trust me I've been there so I understand. What I am still learning is that you have to remember what the Word says. Stop letting everyone in your ear. Especially before and after you know God just opened your heart and poured into you. Some seeds that are planted are not to benefit you but to distrac

Who do you really trust?

This post is going to probably get some of you to delete me from your life and to be honest I am okay with that. I have to be obedient to what God says and not what you feel. And this post is dealing with who you really trust and how you expose it God and to the world. Some of you are consulting tarot cards, mediums, and psychics. With the same breath you are telling God you trust Him and only Him and then wonder why you are all over the place and cannot catch a break. You won't read your Bible, barely come to church, and pay somebody money who has a demonic spirit. Don't you realize that the devil hears your prayers to and that he can appear as an angel of light? He isn't interested in getting you better because he knows if you do what God is telling you to do like: read your Bible, go to church, etc that you would defeat him. What are the cards telling you about your life? Is it lining up with the word of God? If you can't answer that question than the answer is n

Define your It

"The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it" - 1 Thessalonians 5:24 Yes Lord!!! I believe you!!! Thank you in advance. Here is my question: What are you thanking Him for? We know God is faithful in all He does. God knows our hearts so that also knows what we want and what we need. Do you really know? "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." -Psalm 37:4 Did you know you had secret desires hidden behind your pain? I didn't until I let God heal me. I did that because I started defining my "Its". There were things I wanted but I couldn't confess because I was broken, hurt, angry, etc. So in the middle of last year the Lord had me to write my its down in my Bible.. Not on paper.. but in my Bible. I lose paper but I always know where my word is. I have done that for this year as well. I am hoping that all of you learn to define whatever your it is. Everyone has them. It could be healing, delive

Drop the Weights and RUN

There are times when we feel heavy and we don't realize why. Have you ever wondered why you felt hindered? Why you are so tired? Most of the time it is because we are carrying "weights". A weight can be anything that slows you down and distracts you from God. One thing I should probably add is that a weight is not necessarily a sin. With that being said let's include the scripture to this and then I will describe in more detail the "weights". "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." -Hebrews 12:1(NIV) We are in this race to win. The path has been set for us. First thing we have to do is stay on the track. When you are feeling heavy you have a tendency to weeble and wobble and end up in somebody else's lane causing a collision. What weight could this be? How about the burd

More than an option

We often settle because of loneliness. This could be at home, work, school, etc.  This is an extremely short post tonight but you are more than an option. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. I didn't make that up. Read Psalm 139. Love you to life

Take Off the Mask

It's ok to say you aren't ok. You are human. It is a sign of maturity and it is a sign of strength. The past couple of days for me haven't been the best and I have learned not to put on the mask of perfection. Often times we carry ourselves like we have no problems and live in a fantasy world when in reality we want to scream and cry and throw stuff(well I do anyway and I have my moments when I do) I am thankful though that I have family and friends who allow me to express how I am feeling. They correct me when needed, comfort when asked, and pray as always. I want to tell all of you out there that it really is ok to tell someone: "Hey.. I'm not ok.. I'm not feeling this." It is better to talk about it than to think about it. Your thoughts can wear you down. I encourage you to pray for a mentor, to journal your thoughts, and to talk to someone that can lead, guide, and direct you in the right direction. Some of the strongest people go through the tough

Just a note to you and to me

Welcome to 2014! I hope that you decide not to let life get in the way of you living. This is something I am still working on. We can't stay in the same place and expect to move. Another we can't do is expect people to do everything for us and with us. There are a few things you are going to have to encounter without your "hype men". Truth be told all they do is make a bunch of noise and repeat everything you say really loud and in your ear and if you are like me that is really annoying. I don't like a bunch of noise.. it is a distraction. (Catch it) I pray Ephesians 1:18 over all of us this year. Read that scripture when you get a minute. It will bless your life. This is more of a note to you rather than my normal blogs. I am going to be doing different things this year and I hope you do something different as well. Take me as I am and also for where I am going. Just because it feels comfortable doesn't mean it looks good on you. To 2014: Live it, Lov
