Restoration

We often pray and ask for restoration. I have realized that over the years I was asking for materials I had lost instead of the healing and peace I needed in order to handle it. If we are hurting, angry, depressed, we are not thinking straight. We spend money on things as a temporary fix(high) and are still left with that emptiness we went out the door with. Money cannot buy you happiness and no person can make you happy. That is an inside job that is hard work but comes with excellent benefits.

When asking for restoration, realize that includes your purpose, spiritual healing, and deliverance. Restoration doesn't happen overnight. It is a process that molds us into who God has called us to be. In the midst of this, pray for those connected to you. That brings about restoration as well. When you pray for them it replaces their ashes with a crown of beauty.

It's coming. Put in the work and be patient.

When You Don't Understand

2018 was full of loss. Some of us lost loved ones, we lost our hope, our drive, our passion. It seemed like every single time we took steps to make progress life came and knocked the hell out of us. And it made me angry. I didn't understand why it seems like things kept going left when we were doing right. Why did people go ghost in the midst of a heartbreaking year? I let my anger affect the things that I was doing and I honestly didn't care anymore. Why should I extend myself when no one else was willing to do the same. Are you bearing fruit?

"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in My name." -John 15:16(NIV) Chosen to bear fruit. A reason your prayers may not be answered is because you are not bearing fruit. Are you sharing Jesus with others besides the ones who are in your circle? When was the last time you told a complete stranger something that could change their life? Like Jesus loves them, have a blessed day or week, etc. Do they see your light or do they see your dilemmas?  Things to consider. Stop avoiding strangers and start bearing fruit.
